As a Marriage and Family Therapist, clinically specialized in working with young children and families impacted by trauma, I am dedicated to creating a space that embodies warmth, safety, collaboration, and understanding.
My training as an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant gives me a unique view and understanding around how important and impactful our early experiences and relationships are. I conduct my work with the understanding that those experiences set the stage for the tempo we carry throughout life.
In a society with no road map to parenting or personal success, filled with demands and ever changing global and technological expectations, I am here to help support and come along side you in these endeavors.
I do this by utilizing various techniques from modalities such as, Narrative Therapy, Bibliotherapy, Psychoeducation, Internal Family Systems, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness, Somatic and Attachment work, TF-CBT, and Play-based Therapies such as, TheraPlay. I also use my experience as an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to incorporate skills related to active and reflective listening, helping you connect with the needs of your child, or your inner child, and attuning to the rhythm of each session for successful collaboration.
Throughout our work together we will explore the unique tempos that play out within your world, fostering a deeper understanding of your relational rhythms. We will work together to compose the symphony of your life while we explore your everyday experiences and work on building relationships, and interactions, that flow with a consistent beat- marked by open communication and mutual respect.
As a bi-cultural therapist I recognize that no person or family is alike, and I honor the very real complexities of navigating social expectations while managing difficult life stressors and events. I am a committed ally and welcome you to reach out today, regardless of race, age, ethnicity, income status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religious values.
